Tom Holland, who has worked in the garden centre in B&Q for many years, brought a large selection of his plants to show to the club members on Thursday 21st April. Tom had either grown the plants from seed or had grown them on from plug plants . He told us about the suitable positions and soil types for various plants. Members were keen to ask questions and there were discussions about the best types of compost and the effects of the previous winter on people's gardens. The plants were for sale at the end of the evening.
The flower of the month competition was won by Dorothy with a bluebell.

All being well our May meeting will take place in the village hall. We are very grateful that we have been able to use the Methodist school-room since Christmas.
